Nepal's first science fiction released

REPUBLICA
KATHMANDU, June 11:
The first science fiction in the field of Nepali literature was released on Thursday, June 9 at Gurukul Theatre, Purano Baneshwor.
The book is entitled “Zero Cottage” and is written by theater actor Tanka Chaulagain.

It narrates the consequences of global warming on the Earth.
The lead characters in the story are viruses, and Zero Cottage is their hideout.

“The book is very relevant to today’s time because it deals with environmental issues and our addiction to technology,” said Professor Dr. Mohan Raj Sharma, the chief guest of the event.

Elaborating the reason behind writing a science fiction novel, Chaulagain said that it was a drive to do something new.
“It’s always exciting to explore new ideas, whether it’s theatre or writing,” he said.
The book has been published by KaKhaRa Kitab, and is priced at Rs 160 each.
